President Mirna Daniati Idris

I first met her when she was brought in as a guest by her good friend, Laura. She was about to join the club when she received an offer to take up teaching course. So she left Tawau to Johore. She ended up working there as well. 

She contacted me to join a local Toastmasters Club there so I connected her with Yasotha. Then both of them became good friends too. 

Just when she was about to be installed as the club president she received a transfer back to Tawau and thus officially joined Tawau Toastmasters Club. 

I visited her during Hari Raya last year and met up with her parents. I had a good chat with her father and later on out that her uncle was also someone I knew. He was a regular blood donor and his wife Sabaria was the nurse who attended to me during my many blood donations at Tawau. Both husband and wife were honoured during World Blood Donor Day last year together with me. Sabaria however passed away during the last Hari Raya this year. 

A long story also leads to something, Now, Mirna is officially the President of Tawau Toastmasters Club!
